Our time in the apartment in Side is up, and it has been 6 veery relaxing days. We only really ventured further than the corner shop on our penultimate day.. The rest were spent lazing round the pool and indeed, in the pool itself. It was strange discovering our surroundings yesterday, made me feel a bit bad to realise we had been two minutes from an ancient roman amphitheatre and ruins.. Side's old town was bizarre, Emma was surprised because it's all been done up since she was last there, but basically it looked like someone had sawn all the shop fronts off a Swiss alpen town and grafted them onto these. There were pictures of Swiss mountains everywhere too, it was all a little disorientating!
Right now we're on the bus to Isparta in order to get a train to Istanbul. I say bus, it's actually the most luxurious coach I've ever been on. Two hours of seatback TVs, wifi and free ice creams and drinks for a fiver.

And yes, the coach waiters even wear little bow ties.
Roll on Istanbul!
